Art: Creativity, Connection, Collaboration and You


Description
Course Description: This course includes activities that can be applied to your classroom and your own practices as an artist. Creativity through collaboration and connection offers potential, as well as an essential goal of educators to knit our classrooms, ourselves, and our communities together through art.

Objectives: Learn practices that can restore their creativity and techniques to create art connections.

Audience: Art Teachers K-12

Time: This course is organized into 3 modules. Each module takes approximately 60 minutes.

Recommended Supplies for Course Participation:Participants will need to assemble the following art supplies prior to each module:

Module 1: Markers or poster paints, 8.5 x 11” drawing paper sheets, glue, a notebook, pencils, crayons, and scissors.

Module 2: One or more cereal boxes, a large cracker box, or some other box that is easy to cut. Scissors, Glue, Clothes Pins, 2-3 sheets of construction paper, masking tape, and/or a stapler.

Module 3: Markers or poster paints, 8.5 x 11” drawing paper sheets, glue, a notebook, pencils, chalk, crayons, and scissors. Optional: bring ‘box’ creation from Session 2.
