Onboarding: Systems and Structures (Part 1)


Description
Series Course Description: This course is part of a three-part series to explore ways to create a streamlined, informative, and welcoming onboarding process for teachers new to their school. This series will guide participants in establishing or refreshing an existing onboarding or informal mentoring process for new-to-school staff. Additionally, the course discusses ways to increase collaboration with new staff and current staff members at your school. These strategies offer ways to support teachers both at the start of the year or anytime you have a new staff member joins your team. Each part of this course series offers an interview of an in-service teacher or leaders at nonpublic schools.

Objectives for Part One: Learning and the School Systems and Structures:
* Outline ways to organize information with staff
* Organize communication pathways with staff
* Learn from a panelist about their onboarding experience and tips
* Evaluate what is essential for your school in relation to onboarding school systems and structures

Audience: Leaders, Teacher-Leaders, Mentors, K-12

Time: This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete.
