Mentoring: The Basics


Description
Series Description: This is part of a three part series about mentoring. Participants will be invited to explore ways to identify, customize, and utilize current and new resources to support new staff at your school.

Description: What can mentoring look like? What should we consider in
developing or enhancing a mentoring program? What makes a
mentor effective? Who are mentees and what do they want and
need? Participants will explore these questions, and identify a
need and a goal for their possible mentoring experiences at
their school.

Course Objectives:
*Identify what mentoring is and is not
*Explore different ways to get started with mentoring or enhance your current mentoring process at your school
*Consider ways to identify mentors to best support your new staff

Audience: Leaders or Teacher-Leaders K-12

Time: Length of Course 30 minutes
